Mr Al-Hakim operated on my wrist on the 3rd November 2017 at Whipps Cross. It was a very complicated break. He spoke to me before the operation and explained everything. I had three plates inserted and two incisions. Having just been discharged from physio, I have nearly full use back of my hand and wrist. I cannot thank him enough for what he did. Cannot recommend him highly enough.

I was a patient of Dr Al-Hakim at Holly House private hospital although it was funded by the NHS, I feel very lucky to have found synchs a wonderful surgeon. From our very first appointment he always took time to talk to you and you never felt rushed he explained everything in easy to understand language and I never felt that I wasn’t fully informed about my procedures. Since June 2017 I have undergone 2 shoulder procedures and I have made speedy recovery’s from both my scarring is minimal and I can not recommend this surgeon highly enough. I feel very lucky to have found him.

In March 2017 I had a car crash which left me with an arm injury,so I went to the doctors several times and they said I had a tear and had to rest it and then physio but sadly the pain got worse so I went back to the doctors who could see clearly I was in pain so they sent me to holly house were I was referred to mr.wisam Al-Hakim. He straight away new what the problem was and said I needed a Arthroscopic rotator cuff and will send me a date for the operation,I was feeling happy as well as a little scared as I just want the pain to stop. My date came through 13th September 2017 . Meet my doctor again that day mr Wisam Al-Hakim to do a few checks and he explained in detail what he was going to do,sounds a little scarey as its my right arm and now no he has to freeze some of my nerves by injecting my neck ,after the injection I didn't feel a thing. Relief . Operation went well but took a few hours as the damage was a lot worse once he looked inside ,may I add it was also done through key Hole surgery. Once I woke up and had a tea and sandwich I was allowed to go home to recover. The next few days were very uncomfortable but couldn't be worse than the pain I've already suffered. The care at holly house was outstanding . Started having physio on 21.09.2017 which was hard but I had to get on with it as after listening to Dr.Al.Hakim every thing is going well,no pain no gain. After about 12 physio appointments I was getting happier by the day. In November I had a follow up appointment with Dr.Al-Hakim and he explained and showed me photos he took while in surgery,. I was so shocked and couldn't beleave the damage and what he had to do,totally amazing. It was a big operation,Dr.Al.Hakim was shocked by the damage himself,there was a hole too. I did say to Dr.Al-Hakim after the operation that I had days when my arm felt like it was going to fall off,after the operation Dr.Al.Hakim said it was just hanging on by a thread and if it was left much longer it would off been unrepairable. So I'm very happy indeed that I'm feeling excited about going back to Zumba tonight and getting back to a normal life with a great right arm. I just want to say Thank-you so much Dr.Al.Hakim for the amazing job you done on my arm and the great care I had at holly house. Thanks to everyone who helped me get back to normal exspecially Dr.Al.Hakim.
